Bite Dance Company, founded in 2009 by Jaami Waali was created to be an expressive force in San Diego by combining hip hop and jazz elements of stage dance. From April 2012 to August 2012, under the direction of Charleigh France, the company performed as a jazz company with a burlesque edge. In 2013, Jaami Waali and husband Angel Waali added elements of modern as well to produce pieces throughout southern California. Bite Dance Company continuously trains dancers, and performs at local events over the years. As dance continues to change, so do our dance practices as we continue to challenge ourselves in new ways of expression. Since Covid, the company is currently on hiatus.

Bite Dance Company is a contemporary dance ensemble that fuses elements of jazz, modern, and hip hop into meaningful pieces. Founded in 2009 by Jaami Waali under Kruciaal Element Dance Company, the dancers aimed at an expressive force in San Diego by combining hip hop and jazz elements of stage dance. From April 2012 to August 2012, under the direction of Charleigh France, the company performed as a jazz company with a burlesque edge. In 2013, Jaami Waali and husband Angel Waali added elements of modern as well to produce pieces throughout southern California. Bite Dance Company continuously trains dancers, and performs at local events over the years. As dance continues to evolve, so do our dance practices as we continue to challenge ourselves in new ways of expression. Rehearsals are held at The Dancehouse: 2180 Chatsworth Blvd. at 7:45pm.
